THE WISE ONES

In Sweden, de Kloka are the wise ones - the white witches and folk healers who for thousands of years have been intimate with the earth, its mysteries, and gifts. The Wise Ones have always understood that scent could be deeply transformative, spiritually evocative, and tied deeply to memory. The ritual of anointing with aromatics can be used today to connect to that ancient wisdom and invoke magic and wonder in your daily life.

JACKIE BRENNER

PERFUMER, Astrologer, sensual witch

Jackie began her blending practice in the world of mixology after graduating with a degree in fine art from the San Francisco Art Institute. She garnered acclaim around the world with original, award-winning cocktails. It was the chance purchase of a perfumer’s memoir from a small bookstore in Paris in 2012 that changed the trajectory of her career towards the ancient art of perfumery. Jackie found that the languages of mixology and perfumery were not-so-distant cousins, and her knack for creating delicious cocktails translated well into perfume making. She has studied with master natural perfumer, Mandy Aftel since 2013.

In 2022, after a spiritual awakening on the sacred grounds of Esalen Institute, Jackie began studying the esoteric gnostic practices of tarot and astrology. She has mentored with psychic medium Brenda Rose and is currently studying at Austin Coppock’s renowned astrology school, the Fundamentals of Astrology. She is now weaving perfume-making into a spiritual practice and offering bespoke blends inspired by astrological natal chart analysis.

Each perfume is hand-blended and bottled with care by Jackie in Northern California.

Botanical Perfume

Botanical perfume is made from completely natural ingredients. The aromatic essences are derived from plant and animal materials, not synthesized from petroleum products. The perfumes of de Kloka are hand-blended from essential oils, Co2 extractions, absolutes, concretes, tinctures, natural isolates and compounded natural isolates from around the world.

Botanical perfume is intimate and ethereal, it wears close to the body and invites reapplication. This is perfume for people who thought they didn’t like perfume or are often overwhelmed by commercial fragrances that are made with synthetic ingredients.
